Jake gave me a written price for removal of a near 50 ft red cedar with very large branches overhanging our home and said they would be in the area in a week or so. About 7 days later he called and said they'd be there the next day. Two of his men showed up with a bucket truck, sized the job up and immediately began removing branches and there was no question in my mind that these guys knew what they were doing and where real professionals. it seemed like not much more than an hour and they had most of the branches off, the tree topped and tying off and dropping the really big ones overhanging the house by 15 and 20 ft, never touching the roof or the house. The cleanup crew had arrived by then, started their jobs and finished dropping the tree. loaded the debris, raked and cleaned up the small stuff, blew away the sawdust xcetera with no damage to the lawn. Everyone knew their job and did it efficiently without being told. I was a construction superintendent (including a lot of tree clearing work) for 40 years and would have been happy to have these guys on my crew.
Southern tree services and crew has a six star rating in my book.

Our property needed to be cleared of a grove of rain trees. Southern Tree Services gave us an estimate that detailed what would happen if they did the work. Just two weeks later, we got a call and a team was scheduled to cut down the trees. The team was professional, courteous, and thorough. Safety procedures were paramount. Four-five hours later, we could see the sky and had a lovely view of our beautiful neighborhood! Thank you, Southern Tree Service team!

Our 7ft+ diameter HUGE oak needed to be removed due to decay. We can't say enough about this company- they showed up on time for the quote, arrived on time to do the work, had incredible equipment to handle this monster job, job completed within their estimated time frame. The guys were all respectful, hard working and worked in unison together to get it done, hauled away and cleaned up. We would definitely use them again when needed!

Recently had a very large oak removed that was just a few feet from our home. The majority of the tree was over the roof. They had the knowledge and equipment to safety remove it with little damage to the lawn. They cleaned up all the debris, blowing off the roof and sidewalks. Very professional would highly recommend them !

When Jake came out to give me an estimate he was polite, took time to answer my questions and considering their workload took my timeframe to heart! The crew came out within 2 business days of my call to get my job done. My trees look fabulous now, they removed every leaf and branch, raking as they cleaned up and hauled it all away. After meeting with several companies we decided to go with Robert & his team. We needed a number of large trees removed as well as clearing of underbrush & smaller trees. These guys were not only budget friendly but were, honest, professional ,on time and knowledgeable, answered all the questions we had regarding how to maintain the trees we had left as well as showed us which were the better ones to keep. We could not be happier & would gladly use them again for future projects & recommend them to all our friends.

I had a neighbor's tree fall and totally block my road. Notified Home Advisor on the net and within 10 minutes Bryce called. He and other worker showed up the next morning at 7:30 am and cut it up and moved it off the road, opeing my exit back up. Worked quickly and was very polite. Would recommend.

We hired them to take down part of a tree that was over my roof about 6 in. away went the wind blew it hit the roof, they gave me a good deal and did a very good job , a few month later now I need a huge tree taken down as it was half dead, I was going to put up a wood fence the tree had to go first I called them they gave me a super deal they took it down in one day did a super clean up I will not hesitate to call them back if I ever need more trees taken down the guys were super sweet and eager to please yes I would give them a 5 star + rating I can't say enough how pleased I am.

The men from southern tree and Excavating were prompt, professional and did a great job trimming 5 palm trees around our lanai. They were clean cut, and removed all debris, leaving our property totally picked up.

This was my first Angie’s List experience, and I’m happy to report it went very well. In brief, I needed a cracked pine tree limb removed pretty fast, and a friend-referral didn’t pan out. So, I checked Angie’s resources and made a selection on reviews and customer service interactions. I then received nearly immigrate responses from multiple company’s. (Another tree service company contacted me first, but they had to abruptly end the call the deal with a situation.) Southern Tree Service was the 2nd contact. Their customer service was very courteous and helpful. They came out and gave me a very reasonable quote the same day. The job was completed a few days later, and they kept me informed of the status of their arrival in advance. I highly recommend this company. They are trustworthy and affordable.
